Sourdough Bread Making

I heard so much benefits about sourdough and here’s a write up on the Top 10 reasons to eat Sourdough.

Cheap commercial bread relies on added enzymes, preservatives, emulsifiers and improvers to bake bread at speed which results in digestive difficulties. Sourdough bread is made from sourdough starter which consists of only flour and water. The wild yeast and lactobacillus in the sourdough leaven neutralise the phytic acid and makes the bread easier for us to digest. This is one of the main reason that encourage me to bake my own sourdough.

I learn to make Sourdough bread at “Sourdough Bread Making – Get it right at 1st bake” workshop. It is more than just bread making. It is a life skill that everyone would benefit from, even kids, your helper, your husband (anyone that can help you bake in case you are not the baking type ;P).
